Pågatågen trains run roughly hourly (fewer on weekends) from Malmö (Skr84, 50
minutes). Other local trains run daily to Simrishamn (Skr54, 40 minutes).

Local bus services depart from outside the tourist office. Try Taxi Ystad ( 720 00) for a

about 3km northeast of the city centre.

The Baltic resort of Löderups Strandbad, 4km east of Ales Stenar, has an inviting long,
white sandy beach that is perfect for relaxing (school holidays aside...).
On the edge of the Hagestad Nature Reserve, Löderups Strandbads Camping (

Apr-Sep) is a pleasant spot in a pine forest next to the beach. The family hotel Löderups

is a popular summer spot, complete with sauna, heated outdoor pool and restaurant. It also
rents cabins, most with sea views (by the week only in high season; Skr7900) and bi-
cycles. Near Strandbad, beside the main road, the helpful STF Vandrarhem Backåkra (

simple cheery rooms and a great garden and is a short stroll from the beach.
