BUS
Local & Regional
Skånetrafiken
operates Skåne's efficient local bus and train networks (the latter known as
Pågatågen).
Its buses operate in zones, with a single journey costing Skr22 within the city of Malmö.
Note that (aside from the Flygbuss) you can't buy a ticket on the bus. Instead, purchase a
reusable
Jojo
card at the Skånetrafiken customer-service centres at Centralstationen or Tri-
angeln and load it with an amount to cover your estimated local bus travel. Alternatively,
purchase a 24- or 72-hour Timmarsbijett bus pass.
Most long-distance regional buses leave from the bus station on Spårvägsgatan, while a
few go from in front of Centralplan. Bus 146 is a useful service to the ferries departing
from Trelleborg (Skr65, 40 minutes); this service runs once or twice hourly. Bus 100 to
Falsterbo (Skr65, one hour) is equally useful.
Long-Distance
There are two bus terminals with daily departures to Swedish and European destinations.
