Across the river and next to the Science Park is the city's most exciting new building - the
epitome of green engineering. Kuggen, or 'Cogwheel', resembles a bright red Colosseum,
only with triangular windows that make maximum use of daylight and a host of eco-cre-
dentials that include adaptive ventilation and interactive heating and cooling systems.
Take the Älvsn ferry from the Rosalund stop along Skeppsbron to Lindholmspiren.

Paddan City Boat Tour

Strömma runs 50-minute city tours on its Paddan boats from Kungsportsplatsen, right
across from the tourist office. They're an information-packed way to get your bearings and
are free with the Göteborg Pass.
Hop On Hop Off

Strömma runs the Hop On Hop Off bus-boat combo. A 24-hour ticket gives you access to
the double-decker bus routes that take you past the city's main attractions, while the boats
whisk you along the canals. You can also opt for separate bus (Skr185/90 per adult/child)
and boat (Skr160/80) passes.

The tour to Nya Älvsborgs Fästning departs Lilla Bommen torg daily from early May to
August. Strömma also runs Archipelago cruises (Skr295) and a four-hour trip around the
island of Hisingen (Skr195), among others.
