This big, friendly lakeside campsite, 7km west of town off the E18 motorway, is part of a
large sports and recreation area, with beach volleyball, a driving range, minigolf, exercise
tracks and a mountain-bike course. There are also sandy and rocky beaches nearby.

The town's old jail cells have been converted into large, bright and cleverly decorated
rooms with exposed-wood ceiling beams and funky shapes - and a display in the basement
letting you in on the building's history. There's a guest sauna, and complimentary after-
noon tea, as well as a free dinner buffet and breakfast.

Make tracks to the main square, Stora Torget, and its surrounds for good eating and drink-
ing options - most have outdoor summer seating. There's a handy supermarket inside

Don't be fooled by the name - the Kebab House is a cut above your average fast-food
place and serves good-value pizza, kebabs and salads as well as steaks and fish. Check out
its fancy striped wallpaper and chandeliers if you don't believe us. In summer, stake out
one of the popular outdoor tables, along the busy pedestrianised street.
