Step 15: Add the cowboy movie clip
In the Library there is a folder labeled
cowboy . Double-click on the folder to
open it. Locate the movie clip labeled
MC_cowboy .
The movie clip contains a motion tween
of the cowboy bouncing up and down.
Click and drag the movie clip to the
foreground layer. Position it close to the
center of the screen (Figure 3.30).
Save and test your movie.

Exercise Summary
This exercise demonstrated how to create parallax scrolling using motion tweens. The
foreground moves faster than the middle ground. The middle ground moves faster than
the background. The sky and clouds move ever so slowly. This perception is a result of
the observer's point of view riding alongside the cowboy.
