Select the Eyedropper tool from the Tools palette. Click on the dark blue side of the
cube (Figure 2.35). The color swatch appears in the Color Swatches panel. Select
the Eyedropper tool again and click on the top of the cube. A light blue color swatch
appears in the Color Swatches panel. These new swatches will be used to blend the
gradient colors together.

Step 6: Add a linear gradient fill
Select the dark blue side of the cube on the Stage. Go to the Tools palette and click
on the Color Fill swatch. This opens the Color Swatches pop-up palette. Select the first
grayscale gradient fill swatch at the bottom of the palette (Figure 2.36).
