3D Extrude & Bevel Options
To see the 3D effect in the document window, select Preview. Extrude & Bevel controls
the object's depth and any bevel applied. The extruded depth can be set between 0 and
2000. If you wish to have your object appear as a solid shape, select the Cap On button.
Selecting the Cap Off button makes the object hollow.
Click More Options to view the complete list of options. Surface controls how the final
rendered object appears. Surfaces can appear dull and unshaded or glossy with high-
lights that simulate plastic. Select a preset surface from the drop-down menu. Lighting
can create dramatic effects. Click and drag the light around the sphere to adjust the
lighting. Additional lights can be added by selecting the Add Light button.
When you are done, click OK (Figure 10.4).
