In addition to sharing your Tumblr posts on Facebook, you can also tweet them on Twit-
ter, which is a nice way to keep all your social media accounts in sync.
You can connect Tumblr to Twitter by signing in to your Twitter account on your Tumblr
blog's Blog Settings page.
Another way to connect your accounts works only if your Tumblr theme sup-
ports Twitter account input in the Appearance section of the Customize Theme
page. To see if your theme supports this feature, click the Publish to Twitter link
on the Goodies page (refer to Figure 8-12). This will open your browser to the Cus-
tomize Theme page. If you see a place to enter your Twitter name in the Appear-
ance section, enter it, click the Save button, and then click the Close button to re-
turn to your Dashboard.
Audio posting by telephone
Question:
Quick! You're away from your computer and other web-enabled devices, and
you need to post something on your Tumblr blog. What will you do?
Answer:
Tumblr has you covered! The answer is . . . create an Audio post from your
phone.
To configure your Tumblr account to accept audio posts by phone, follow these steps:
1. Click the Configure button in the Call In Audio section of the Goodies page (refer
to Figure 8-12).
This expands the area on the page so you can enter some data.
2. Make a note of the toll-free telephone number listed here.
If needed, change the country code to match your calling location.
3. Enter your phone number in the field provided.
Be sure to include your area code and/or non-U.S. country codes.
4. (Optional) For security, type in a 1-to-4-digit PIN code.
Write it down or commit it to memory!
5. If you have more than one blog, select the name of your blog from the drop-
down menu under “Blog to post to.”
