Tumblr is currently beta-testing a backup tool for Mac OS X.
With the Tumblr Backup tool, you can log in to your account, select the blog you'd like
to back up (if you have more than one), choose your Save To destination, and create the
backup.
A Windows version of the same tool, according to their website, is “coming soon.”
Linking to Facebook
If you haven't already linked your Tumblr account to your Facebook page in your
Tumblr blog's Settings page, you can do it from the Goodies page by clicking the Face-
book Application link (refer to Figure 8-12). The browser takes you to a Facebook login
screen where you may enter your Facebook account credentials.
If, for some reason, you get an error message that says,
Sorry, the ap-
plication you were using is misconfigured. Please try again
later
, simply open your Blog Settings page by clicking the button of that name
on your Dashboard and configure your account settings there.
