Figure 8-4: After you click a box on the Wire, a temporary Track button appears on your sidebar along with
links to popular editors and contributors.
Exploring by listing
Directly below the Wire on Tumblr's Explore page, you'll find a listing of some of the
most popular tags searched for on Tumblr's site, as shown in Figure 8-5. You may prefer
to explore Tumblr from this listing instead of from the Wire, because you can learn more
about each tag's popularity before viewing a list of posts.
Figure 8-5: You can also explore Tumblr by using the sortable Explore page Popular Tags listing.
Here are some ways you can explore the list of popular tags:
Change the sort order of a column: You can click any of the column headers (ex-
cept Top Editor) to re-sort the listing by popular tags, feedback, and activity. You
can tell at a glance how the whole list is sorted by the presence and direction of a
small arrow next to one of the column headers.
Tags can be sorted in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order, while the Feed-
back and Activity columns can be sorted from most to least or least to most.
