Based on a literature review, Figure 5.3 reports the number of times a given
BPS and BPO toolhas been used tooptimize a building design. Progressions
in building simulation tool development and in coupling or combining
complementary BPS tools at run-time expand the domains where BPS
optimization studies can occur.
