One of the most time-consuming building modeling tasks is geometry input
(Bazjanac, 2001). Bazjanac estimated that geometry-related tasks account
for about 80% of simulation input time resources (

)
. However,
this will depend greatly on geometry complexity and whether or not the
HVAC systems, another time consuming category of inputs, are modeled in
detail.
