3. The VISP sends an order to its ISP (e.g. an ebXML document).
4. An adapter transforms this message into a WSMO goal.
5. The VISP platform selects an appropriate supplier using the LCSM
methodology and invokes the respective Web services.
6. After successful account installation, the ISP creates an account for the
customer along with ordering information.
7. The ISP monitors the whole process; when the order process is finished
the VISP platform sends a confirmation back to the VISP.
8. The VISP ERP system processes the order.
9. The VISP sends a confirmation to the customer.

Overview of a VISP
All of the parties involved in this scenario are, most likely, in different
locations, and therefore all information interchange and communication takes
place over the Web. The Web services of the ISP and the suppliers carry
WSMO descriptions similar to that of the Amazon ECS Web services dis-
cussed earlier. The parties involved may very well use different ontologies
within their service descriptions or might have incompatible business pro-
cesses. However, on the basis of semantic descriptions, the VISP platform is
