Løkken
Pop 1600
A generation of Danish holidaymakers may raise an eyebrow when they read this, but
Løkken is now an appealing holiday spot for all ages. It was once the renowned summer
habitat of teenage party-animals, but has matured considerably since those heady days and
now draws a tamer crowd.
The former fishing town's biggest drawcard is its wide, sandy beach, and the requisite
shops, ice-creameries and cafes welcome the summer bombardment. Colder months see
the town go into hibernation.
