In-Depth Information
The gorgeous riverbank location, good facilities and lack of budget alternatives in town
make this hostel popular, so book ahead. Once here, enjoy the outdoor tables and homely
communal areas alongside cyclists, families, school groups and Euro-backpackers. Dorm
beds are available July to mid-September; breakfast costs Dkr75.

town centre (just south of Indelukket). Cabins and caravans are available for hire (only by
the week in July & August), and there's a lovely natural pool for swimming. Local bus 4

This polished performer lives in the redeveloped paper factory that was once the backbone
of the local economy. It's right on the river, among a clutch of restaurants, and the designer
rooms are petite but comfy and well equipped. Weekend rates are cheaper than midweek.
Eating
There are two areas to investigate when scouting for eating (and drinking) options: the re-
invigorated Papirfabrikken (the old paper factory) and the fast food and international
cuisines found on Nygade. End-of-week nightlife clusters around the corner of Nygade
and Hostrupsgade.
