Getting There & Away
AIR
Aarhus Airport (AAR; www.aar.dk ) , also known as Tirstrup airport, is 45km northeast of the
city.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has daily flights to/from Copenhagen; Sun-Air (affiliated
with British Airways) operates direct connections to Stockholm, Gothenburg and Oslo.
Ryanair has daily connections to/from London (Stansted).
BOAT

FERRY

Operates high-speed ferries between Aarhus and Odden in north Zealand (one-way adult/
child/car Dkr349/175/699, 70 minutes, minimum five sailings daily). Rates for car passage
include passengers.
BUS
All regional and long-distance buses stop at Aarhus bus station (Rutebilstation;
GOOGLE MAP ; Fredensgade 45) , 300m northeast of the train station. From Aarhus you can
reach most Jutland towns of note on the X-bus network - information is online at
www.midttrafik.dk , or via the bus station info desk, staffed from 7am to 10pm.
Abildskou BUS
( 70 21 08 88; www.abildskou.dk )
Express bus line 888 runs up to 10 times daily between Aarhus and Copenhagen's Valby
station (Dkr310, three to 3½ hours), with connections to Copenhagen airport. Good fare
discounts are available - see the website.
