Getting There & Away
Route 9 connects Langeland to Tåsinge, via the Langeland bridge.
Bus 930 makes the 20km run from Svendborg to Rudkøbing (Dkr41, 30 minutes) at
least hourly. See www.fynbus.dk for schedules.
A ferry operates from Spodsbjerg to Tårs on Lolland. The ferry service from Rudkøbing
to Marstal on Ærø has ceased - to reach Ærø you need to return to Svendborg and take the
ferry from there.
Getting Around
Route 305 runs from Lohals to Bagenkop, nearly the full length of the island.
BICYCLE
There are sealed cycle paths running from the Rudkøbing area north to Lohals, east to
Spodsbjerg and south to Bagenkop. The tourist office in Rudkøbing sells a bicycle map of
Langeland (Dkr30) outlining six routes, and you can hire bikes from Lapletten ( 62 51 10
98; www.lapletten.dk ; Engdraget 1) , also in Rudkøbing, and from camping grounds on the is-
land.
BUS
From Rudkøbing, local bus 913 travels north to Lohals and 912 travels south to Bagenkop;
these services connect all of Langeland's major villages and run about every two hours.
Rudkøbing
Pop 4500
Rudkøbing's tumbledown streets are pleasant enough for a brief meander, but there's no
need to spend much time here (unless you're travelling by bus, or stocking up on info or
supplies).
Between Torvet and the harbour are a series of narrow cobbled streets lined with tiny
tilting houses. Combining three of the most interesting, Ramsherred, Smedegade and
Vinkældergade, makes a fine stroll.
