Sit waterside, or as close to the buffet as you can - this is a three-hour spread that covers
loads of piscatorial pleasures, including lobster soup, shrimp, mussels and smoked fish
(salmon, herring, mackerel). There's plenty o'potatoes (veggies are a little sparse), but it's
all delicious. Non-fishy folks can choose meat options from the short a la carte menu.
Check the website for closing days outside of the summer high season. Weekend brunch
buffets are also bumper (Dkr139).

One of Funen's best restaurants occupies a striking waterside building south of Kerte-
minde harbour. This is classic seafood served in innovative ways that recognise delicate
flavours and pair perfectly with locally grown produce (springtime asparagus or summer
berries, for example). Staples are home-smoked salmon, fresh fish cooked over an open
wood fire, and a starter of scallops, langoustine and citron-mayo.
