Although the straightforward rooms at this harbourside hotel are a little dowdy, they are
comfortable and equipped with fridge and toilet (some doubles even have kitchenettes).
Request a room in the old wing, a beautiful half-timbered building that dates from the
mid-17th century. Service is friendly and guests can rent bikes for Dkr75 per day.

You'll find a fine selection of excellent, smoked fare at the long counter here, including
wonderful smørrebrød (open sandwiches), great trout, salmon, herring, shrimp, fried fish
cakes and tasty
frikadeller
(Danish meatballs). Chow inside with a view of the massive,
blackened doors of the smoking ovens or at the outdoor picnic tables overlooking the old
cannons.
You'll find the smokehouse by the water at the end of Fiskergade, just north of the town
centre.
