Down by the water, at the southern end of Havnevej and further along Hovedgade,
you'll find a small cluster of shops selling clothes and quality, reasonably priced hand-
blown glass. You'll also find a good smokehouse (Hovedgade 6; lunch/dinner buffet Dkr120/
180; noon-10pm Jul, to 9pm Jun & Aug, shorter hrs rest of yr) where you can get smoked fish,
deli items and cold beer. Just to the right of it is another Bornholm foodie pit stop, Boisen
Is ( www.boisen-is.dk ; Hovedgade 4; 2 scoops Dkr28; 10am-sunset late Jun-Aug, shorter hrs rest of
yr) , justifiably famous for its organic, seasonally inspired ice cream.
The end of the road is a good site for spotting migratory ducks and other water birds. If
you're feeling exploratory (or in need of burning some calories), follow the coastal foot-
path leading north along the beach.
