Getting There & Away
Bornholm can be reached by air, boat or a combination that couples the boat with a bus or
train via Sweden.
AIR
Danish Airport Transport (DAT; 76 92 30 40; www.dat.dk ) operates several flights a day
between Copenhagen and Rønne. Book ahead for cheaper flights.
BOAT
BornholmerFærgens ( 70 23 15 15; www.faergen.dk ; adult/child 12-15/under 11 Dkr290/145/
free, car incl 5 passengers Dkr1625) operates an overnight ferry service from Køge, 39km
south of Copenhagen, to Bornholm. The ferry departs daily at 12.30am and arrives at 6am.
The upside is that you travel while you sleep (a berth costs an extra Dkr278). The down-
side is the trip out to Køge, about 30 minutes by train south of Copenhagen, adds addition-
al time and cost.
BUS & BOAT
Graahundbus ( www.graahundbus.dk ) runs buses several times daily between Copenhagen's
Central Station and Ystad in Sweden (bus route 866), where it connects with a catamaran
