Lolland's flat farmland is enlivened by a smattering of family-friendly attractions - parents
with their own transport should take the kids to see monkeys and tigers at Knuthenborg
Safari Park, and to the vast, slide-filled waterpark of Lalandia. The most appealing of Lol-
land's towns is Maribo, nestled on the shores of a bird-filled lake.
Getting There & Around
The main east-west railway line runs between Nykøbing F (on Falster) and Nakskov
(Dkr84, 45 minutes), with half-hourly to hourly trains during the week (hourly on week-
ends).
The other railway line runs between Nykøbing F and the Rødby ferry (Dkr48, 25
minutes). Trains leave Rødbyhavn several times a day in conjunction with the ferry service
