Whitewashed, half-timbered walls and black, low-slung lamps set a slick scene at Dan-
marks Borgcenter's on-site cafe-restaurant. Local, seasonal produce drive fresh, flavourful
lunch options like smørrebrød (open sandwiches) and a moreish burger served with onion
marmalade and root vegetable chips. Dinner is usually only one entree, main and dessert,
dictated each day by that morning's top ingredients.
The result might be anything from baked cod with beetroot and garden herbs, to tender
veal served with seasonal vegetables and a blackcurrant sauce. Regardless of the day's
menu, the kitchen is always happy to accommodate vegetarians.

Seasonal, affordable and snugly set in an old salting hut by the harbour, it's hard not to
love Oscar. Run by the team from Babette (you're in capable hands!), its menu is reassur-
ingly short, simple and fresh. Made-from-scratch salads, sandwiches and a gourmet burger
spell lunch, while dinner usually offers a soup, pasta dish, meat and fish main. More of a
grazer? Opt for the plate of Danish cheese with olives and bread.
