Set in a converted movie theatre adorned with chintzy chandeliers and velvet drapes, the
Three Kings serves fresh and filling comfort grub. Many of the ingredients are made on-
site, from the buns used in the fantastic burgers, to the addictive potato wedges. The cafe's
namesake salad is made with house-smoked duck breast, and dinner options include hearty
pasta and steak dishes.
On sunny days the leafy courtyard is a perfect spot to wash down a glass or two of local
Sorø Bryghus beer.

On the western edge of town, fine-dining Støvlet-Katrines Hus occupies the former home
of Christian VII's mistress. These days, lust comes in the form of delicious, seasonal
dishes such as ashen monkfish with spinach cream and pickled squash, or pickled cherries
with vanilla pannacotta, buttermilk and elderflower. Wines competently match each
course.
To get here from the centre of town, walk north along Storgade, turning left into
Hauchsvej (which becomes Kongebrovej). The restaurant is at the end of the street (on the
corner with Slagelsevej).
