This Skagen import has quite a reputation for sterling seafood, and its Køge outpost is no
less drool-inducing. It's a case of top ingredients cooked well; superlative choices include
the garlic gratin Norwegian lobster tails. There's a savvy choice of wines by the glass, as
well as housemade schnapps and beer from Skagen. You'll find Arkens right on Køge mar-
ina, 2.5km north of Torvet.

One of Køge's best restaurants cooks up refined and ambitious Danish dishes with global
twists - think glazed lamb on spicy polenta and port wine sauce with grapes, or fried hake
on pea risotto with crispy air-dried ham. Lunch is a simpler, classic Danish affair, with
staples like fish cakes with remoulade. Mains are mostly carnivorous.
