late Tue-Sat)
At the far end of a courtyard, up a flight of stairs, Rustica serves beautiful, seasonal dishes
in a contemporary rustic setting of whitewashed wooden beams, filament bulbs and long
communal tables made by the chef himself. The Italian-inspired menu is reassuringly
short, with only a handful of antipasti, mains, pizzas and desserts, driven by quality pro-
duce and an emphasis on clean, natural flavours.
The result is dishes like succulent Danish entrecôte served with herb-laden roast pota-
toes, vine-ripened tomatoes, peppery rucola, Parmesan, and grilled peppers. The place is
just as perfect for a glass of vino, and there's live music twice a month, generally on
Saturday nights.
