In-Depth Information
Copenhagen's excellent information centre has multilingual staff, as well as a bakery and
lounge with free wi-fi and power sockets. It's the best source of information in town - free
maps, masses of brochures and guides to take away, and booking services and hotel reser-
vations available for a fee. It also sells the Copenhagen Card.
Getting There & Away
AIR
Copenhagen's user-friendly international airport is Scandinavia's busiest hub, with direct
flights to cities in Europe, North America and Asia, as well as a handful of Danish cities.
Located in Kastrup, 9km southeast of Copenhagen's city centre, the airport has good
eating, retail and information facilities.
If you're waiting for a flight, note that this is a 'silent' airport and there are no boarding
calls, although there are numerous monitor screens throughout the terminal.
BOAT
Copenhagen offers regular direct ferry services to/from Norway. There is also a combined
bus-ferry service to Poland and a train-ferry service to Germany.
