Right on Christianshavn's main canal, this festive, wood-decked cafe-bar is a wonderful
spot for drinks by the water. It's a cosy, affable hangout, with jovial crowds, strung lights
and little rowboats (available for hire) docked like bathtime toys. There's grub for the
peckish, and gas heaters and tarpaulins to ward off any northern chill.

This now-classic brewery kickstarted the microbrewing craze a few years back. Thank-
fully, the concept remains as alluring as ever, and the place remains a great place to wash
down local suds. Rumbling bellies are also accounted for, with the brewery's in-house res-
taurant serving up tasty, reasonably priced grub like pan-roasted scallops, fish and chips,
and risotto.
