Pastry peddler Andersen puts the sticky in sublime. The vaguely healthy wholewheat
kanelsnegle (cinnamon snail) is an instant perk-me-up, while fans of blue cheese cannot
afford to miss the Danablu Horn, a sweet-and-salty revelation involving Danish blue
cheese, honey and walnuts in a horn-shaped bread concoction. If it's lunch, stuff your face
with the Grand Danois, Andresen's celebrated gourmet hot dog.
You'll find the bakery right opposite the central train station.

If you're getting your thrills at Tivoli, jolly Grøften is a handy place to refuel. Sure it's a bit
touristy, but it's been here since 1874, making it a bit of a local institution. Reminisce
about the good old days over smørrebrød classics like hand-peeled shrimps with lemon
and mayonnaise, or tackle the mains, which includes gutsy, no-nonsense meat and fish
dishes.
Wagamama

Yes, it's a ubiquitous UK chain, but we still love Wagamama for several reasons: the food
is fresh and flavoursome, the place is open all week, and it's a short walk from the central
station. Pique the appetite with tasty gyoza or vibrant seaweed salad, then slurp your way
through steamy bowls of ramen noodles.
Although part of the Tivoli complex, Wagamama is accessible to all from Tietgensgade.
