White-on-white gives way to bold, playful design at new-school Andersen. Rooms are
simple yet skilfully pimped with smile-inducing details, from geometric blankets and
cushions, to Mad Men-style rugs and chairs, and text wall murals (you might even find a
rubber duck in the bathroom). If you're a light sleeper, request a room facing the internal
courtyard.
Service is genuine and friendly, and the hotel is a quick walk from Central Station and
Vesterbro's popular bars, restaurants and boutiques. Booking well in advance can see
prices drop as low as Dkr850 for a single and Dkr1030 for a double.

An easy walk from Central Station and Tivoli, this is one of two Wakeup Copenhagen
branches in town, well known for offering style on a budget (assuming you've booked on-
line and in advance). The foyer is an impressive combo of concrete, glass and Arne Jacob-
sen chairs, while the 500-plus rooms are sharp and compact, with flat-screen TV and
capsule-like showers.
