by pinocytosis. At the lower pH in the endosome, the molecules associate with the FcRn. They are
either transported back to the cell membrane, where they dissociate in a pH-dependent manner.
Alternatively, transcytosis from the apical to the basolateral side is possible. In the case of saturated
receptors, excess albumin and antibodies are degraded in the lysosome.
