In the Appearance panel, click the disclosure triangle to the left of the words
“Stroke: 1 pt” to toggle it open (if it's not already open). Notice that the “Offset
Path” effect is a subset of Stroke. This indicates that the Offset Path effect is ap-
plied to only that Stroke.

Choose Select > Deselect, and then choose File > Save.
