Adjusting the radial gradient
Next, you will change the aspect ratio of the radial gradient, adjust the position, and change
the radius and the origin of the radial gradient.
1. With the Gradient tool ( ) selected, position the pointer over the gradient annot-
ator. Click and drag the black diamond shape ( ) on the right, to the right, stop-
ping just before the right edge of the ellipse shape, and release the mouse button.
Note
You may not see the dotted circle as you drag the end of the gradient an-
notator. That's okay. It appears if you position the pointer over the gradi-
ent annotator bar first, before dragging the right end point.
Make sure that you still see some white on the edges of the gradient. If you don't,
you can drag the diamond shape back to the left a bit. This lengthens the gradient
slightly.
2. In the Gradient panel, ensure that the Fill box is selected, and then change the
Aspect Ratio (
) to 80% by selecting it from the menu.
