Note
To keep your original text, you can save a layer with the original text (and
hide the layer).
1. With the Selection tool ( ) selected, click the heading text “Zoo Tales” at the top
of the artboard to select it. Choose Type > Create Outlines. Drag it into position
like you see in the figure (if it's not already there).
The text is no longer linked to a particular font. Instead, it is now artwork, much
like any other vector art in your illustration.
2. With the Selection tool, drag the text “Thursdays at 6:30 pm” at the bottom of the
artboard into position, like you see in the following figure.
3. Choose View > Guides > Hide Guides, and then choose Select > Deselect.
