Tip
When you press the Ctrl or Command key with the Pen tool selected, the
last selected Selection tool (Selection or Direct Selection) is temporarily
selected.
5. Select the Direct Selection tool, and drag the point up until it covers the cherry a
bit. You're trying to make it look like the cherry was pushed into the ice cream.
You could have simply selected the Direct Selection tool and dragged the path up,
but we wanted to add specific anchor points to the path for later editing.
Next, you'll add another point and reposition it with the Pen tool.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 over the ice cream path on the left side of the cherry.
7. Choose Select > Deselect.
8. Press the spacebar to temporarily access the Hand tool ( ). Drag up in the Docu-
ment window until you see the bottom of the ice cream path, and then release the
spacebar.
