Choose File > Save As. In the Save As dialog box, navigate to the Lesson05 folder
and open it. Rename the file to
Practice.ai
. Choose Adobe Illustrator (ai) from the
Format menu (Mac OS), or choose Adobe Illustrator (*.AI) from the Save As Type
menu (Windows). Click Save and, in the Illustrator Options dialog box, leave the
default settings, and then click OK.
Getting started with the Pen tool
The Pen tool ( ) is one of the main drawing tools that is used to create both free-form and
more precise artwork and also plays a role in editing existing vector artwork. It's important
to have an understanding of the Pen tool when working with Illustrator. Just know that it
takes plenty of practice to feel comfortable with the tool.
