Figure 11.1 Correlation of initial in-place resources specific densities (million tons of
oil equivalent) vs. depth/erosion of Productive/Red-Bed Sequence (negative numbers
are depth to PS/RS top; positive numbers - amount of PS/RS erosion). a) Lower Kura

Geological meaning of this correlation follows: Minimum hydrocarbon
reserves density values of most eroded structures denote the dissipation
environment of hydrocarbon aggregations. On the most subsided struc-
tures, it denotes extremely obstructed formation environment. Thus, maxi-
mum values of this parameter pertain to optimum formation conditions of
the accumulations and fields.
The aforementioned correlations indirectly establish cause and effect
conjugation between the hydrocarbon saturation on local structures and
the drainage (discharge) environment of their geo-hydrodynamical system
where usually oil and gas accumulation is realized (Dyunin et al ., 2005;
Rachinsky, 1989; 1990; 1996). The consideration of this factor [against the
background of a drastic shale-out of the Productive Sequence (Red-Bed
