The South Caspian Depression
The measures needed for oil and gas reserves' increment in the region are
improvement in exploration and appraisal operations' efficiency based in
particular on the development of hydrodynamical and hydrogeochemical
criteria of oil and gas occurrences. These criteria should be theoretically
sound, thus providing for high reliability of the forecast.
Our studies showed the following: The specific hydrodynamical
and hydrogeochemical environments in the Meso-Cenozoic section
of the region together with clear patterns in spatial positions of hydro-
carbon aggregations create sufficient conditions for the forecast, using
