Correlations of the second type are usually typical of almost or totally
unproductive hydraulically-closed traps and almost or totally devoid of
a possibility to accumulate the injected hydrocarbons and the accompa-
nying ground waters. The most contrasting examples are tectonically-
isolated subthrust folds of the II and III structural stages of the Internal
zone in the Carpathian trough (prospects Starun, Obolon, Nizhne-
Strutynb, Olkhovka, Dzvinyach, Bukhtovets and Pniv). In this area, the
extent of high-waterhead Mesozoic chlorine-calcium brine invasion into
the Oligocene Menilite Series saturated with desalinated ancient infiltra-
tion alkaline waters was substantially limited by hydrodynamical closeness
