Figure 8.7 South Caspian Depression. Correlations of oil and gas reserve density vs. local
structure geothermal conditions, reservoir faulting extent, reservoir geobaric regime and
vertical ground water mobility. a . Г = f ( d i , К ин ); b. Г = f ( K ан ); c. Г = f ( h a ); d. Г = f ( Н з. п );
e. М = f (Г); f. Q = f (Г). See Figure 7.5 for legend.
structures located in zones of relatively free water-exchange and intense
drainage of the natural geo-fluid-dynamic systems causing the destruction
(re-formation) of accumulations.
Extrapolation of these correlations shows that on the structures, which
never included oil and gas accumulations, the intensity of the thermal and
baric fields will be substantially higher than on productive structures. In
the traps with dissipated hydrocarbon aggregations, geothermal gradients
and abnormality factors are minimal.
