The Lay of the Land… of Northwest Arkansas
Northwest Arkansas
Approximately 3.2 million visitors per year make the trip to Northwest Arkansas, and there
are no signs of the traffic slowing down. If you are asking why, you've never been to the
area! There are tons of amazing things to do in Northwest Arkansas.
The Northwest corner of Arkansas is home to a number of towns and smaller communities,
which together are commonly referred to as Northwest Arkansas or NWA. These cities are
Bentonville, Bella Vista, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Lowell, Rogers, Siloam Springs and
Springdale . Bentonville and Bella Vista are covered in this recently researched and up-to-
date area guide.
The NWA area is a unique picturesque part of the state and has many different communities;
some simple farming communities; some more complex, sophisticated bustling business
centers. Always noted for its natural beauty and clean mountain air, NWA has grown to en-
compass a huge variety of attractions.
What you will find in NWA is an area filled with friendly people and a fascinating history
alongside a thriving business community. Who could have imagined that Walmart, the
world's largest corporation, would incubate and establish itself utilizing this tiny corner of
the state as its base? In addition, J.B. Hunt and Tyson Foods are also headquartered out of
NWA.
