Peel Mansion and Historic Gardens - built in 1875 by Colonel Samuel West
Peel for his new bride. He and his wife eventually raised nine children at the farm-
stead of 180 acres. The home has been painstakingly restored to its original early
Victorian condition. Ask the docent about how food was stored. The tour of the
home is very interesting and gives an accurate picture of what life would have been
like back then. In recent years, NWA has gone through an extensive metamorphos-
is and anyone will find a long list of many wonderful activities nestled amongst the
posh accommodations to enjoy.
These are only a few of the attractions that you will enjoy during your stay in the Benton-
ville/Bella Vista area.
NWA Climate
Another reason to travel to the NWA area is its temperate climate. Visitors relish in NWA's
mild weather and four distinct seasons. If you like your fall weather to be blazing with col-
or, your spring weather to be dazzling with daffodils, winter's weather to be moderate, and
your summer days to be bright and warm, you will love NWA. The average overall temper-
ature for the area is 58 degrees Fahrenheit.
