6. In the text box near the bottom, enter the word ROTATION in capital
letters.
7. Set Position to Center Justifi cation, Start Angle to 90 , and the Offset
Distance to -.06 (half the text size).
8. Click the Update button to refresh the text preview, which should
look like Figure 7.35.

9. Pick OK to add the geometry text to the sketch.
10. Change the circle to be construction geometry.
11. Freehand a sketch of a triangle with its point going to the left to cre-
ate an indicator arrow, as shown in Figure 7.36.
I want you to deliberately leave the sketch of your triangle under-
constrained to prove that you can do so and still get results. The only
requirement is that the endpoints of the sketch elements must be
coincident to form a closed profi le.
12. Start the Extrude tool by pressing the E key. This will exit the sketch
and move right to the tool.
13. Set the type to Cut and the Distance value to .01. Pick your pointer
and the text, and click OK to cut those shapes into your pulley.
14. In the Browser, pick the new Extrusion feature.
