Selecting the Supplier Content icon from the Web panel on the Manage
tab connects you to online resources for locating purchased components or
components created by members of the Autodesk Manufacturing Community
(Figure 6.32). There are also links to sites where vendors have posted tens of
thousands of components for their customers.

These sites have search capabilities that allow you to fi nd components based
on specifi cations so you don't have to know the name or part number of the
component you need to fi nd it. I highly recommend creating a membership in
the Manufacturing Community as well as the part sourcing sites to explore what
is available. You may save yourself some time modeling purchased components
or discover another component from an unfamiliar manufacturer that will suit
your needs.
For the sake of simplicity, I have downloaded two components for your assem-
bly from the Supplier Content Center. One is in Inventor format; I've converted
the other to a STEP neutral fi le so you can experiment with that process as well.
