3. In the Browser, locate the iMates folder and expand it.
4. The folder contains a composite iMate named Switch. Expand it to
reveal the two constraints that defi ne the position of the part.
A composite iMate is a way to combine single iMates within a com-
ponent. You may have more than one group of iMates, and linking
them together in a composite makes it easier to manage them.
5. Open the fan assembly or make it the active fi le in the Design
window.
6. Double-click the housing in the Design Window to edit it in the
assembly.
7. Switch the Ribbon to the Manage tab.
8. Start the iMate tool from the Author panel.
Doing so opens the Create iMate dialog. It's similar to the Place
Constraint dialog, except that it's looking for only one selection.
