FIGURE 5.28 The bolted connections added to the assembly
Reusing a Bolted Connection Template
In this exercise, you'll perform the previous process but in an even faster way:
1. Rotate the fan support frame so you can see the other bearing sup-
port assembly.
2. Pick the Design tab in the Ribbon.
3. Start the Bolted Connection tool in the Fasten panel.
The same dialog as before appears, except it's looking for all the
inputs because you haven't preselected a hole or fastener type.
4. Keep the Placement By Hole setting, and pick the front face of the
bearing support for the start plane.
5. Move over the existing holes in the plate, and select the one that high-
lights when you pass over it. This is the parent hole to the pattern.
6. Pick the opposite face of the large vertical angle piece behind the par-
ent hole for the termination face, as shown in Figure 5.29. Because
your parent hole may be in another place, be aware that you can still
select the termination face from this part.
7. Instead of building the bolt stack, highlight the template in the
Library and pick the Set button.
