Building a Frame
In this exercise, you'll use the frame envelope part as the basis for your frame:
1. Right-click the fan support frame, and select Open from the context
menu.
2. Set your assembly to the home view.
3. Save the assembly.
4. Switch the Ribbon to the Design tab, and select Insert Frame from
the Frame panel.
5. Set Standard to ANSI, and set Family to ANSI L (Equal angles) -
Angle Steel.
This sets the preview in the Orientation group.
6. Set the Size value to L 1 x 1 x 1/8, and leave Material and Color Style
as is.
7. In the Orientation window, set the Placement point to the corner at
the base of the L shape, as shown in Figure 5.10.

8. Pick the three edges shown in Figure 5.10. Be sure that the L shape
is previewing to appear inside the frame envelope part. Picking the
bottom edge fi rst may help you get the correct preview. If you select
something you don't want, remember that holding the Shift or Ctrl
key and picking again deselects.
