2. Start the Baseline Set tool from the Dimension panel.
3. Click the bottom line for the fi rst edge of the dimension set.
4. Pick the center marks for the two holes on the left, the hole in the
center, and the top for the edges to dimension.
5. Right-click, and select Continue.
6. Place the dimension set to the left, as shown in Figure 4.57.

7. Right-click, and select Create to fi nish.
Hole/Thread Notes
The General Dimension tool is extremely fl exible but creates relatively simple dimen-
sions. The Hole/Thread Notes tool exchanges some fl exibility for power. When you
apply a hole note or a thread callout to your drawing view, the only pieces of geom-
etry that highlight are holes or external threads. This is a good thing.
Adding Hole/Thread Notes to the Drawing
In the following exercise, you'll create a hole note and modify it:
1. Restore your view in the Design window to show the front view of the
assembly.
