Wi-Fi
Wi-fi is widely available at most hotels, cafes and tourist offices, as well as some restaur-
ants; it's generally (but not always) free and you may need to ask for a password. Connec-
tion speed often varies from room to room in hotels, so always ask when you check in. Air-
ports have wi-fi but generally charge around Nkr60 for the first hour.

Country Maps
Bilkart over Norge (1:1,000,000) by Nortrabooks is one of the best maps of Norway for gen-
eral travellers. It includes useful topographic shading and depicts the entire country on one
sheet. Michelin Norway - 752 (1: 1,250,000) is also good, although the last update was in
January 2007 and the font size can be a problem.
