people. Spread over four buildings, one of which houses a large breakfast room (once the
miners' mess hall), the rooms are simple, come with no frills and are terrific value for

Friendly Guesthouse 102 (which occupies building 7) was once sardonically nicknamed
'Millionaire's Residence'. As the former accommodation for mine workers, the rooms are
simplicity itself. They come with washbasins and there's a kitchen for self-caterers.

Near the airport on a flat stretch of turf, this particularly friendly campsite overlooks Isf-
jorden and the glaciers beyond and has a kitchen and showers. It's about an hour's walk
